Watch out for this guy who claims to be of French and Vietamese descent. He may say he is from France. He is a total con artist. He has pulled scams in Montreal and has now hit Calgary. He may be headed for Vancouver or Edmonton.
He is well dressed and likes to play the part of a successful businessman, financial, IT, Management..you name it.
He likes to target restaurants for victims, playing the part of a wealthy man, buying drinks, picking up the tab. He may tell you that he owns a business and wants you to go work for him....eventually asking you for money for uniforms, training, business cards, whatever....
He might tell you that his wife/child died in a car accident or had Cancer or somethng to illicit sympathy from you.
Stay away from him and actually, you might even want to report his whereabouts to the police.

ReplyDeleteI have encountered him a year and a half or so ago. Didn't really understand the method to his madness other than wasting a bunch of peoples time. I guess that means we got off easy. This happened in Calgary.

Hello Everyone! We just had some problems with our local police... we phoned them to try and figure out how to 'reactivate' our complaints against him. Our local Staff Sargent was very discouraging. Also, this Quebec number was deleting all English voice mails because no one was bilingual... however we have a french speaking friend who contacted them and spoke with the police. They were unaware of his crimes else where... HOWEVER... now they want to know ALL his file numbers... no matter what! SO if you have phoned this number... please rephone... if you haven't please phone... you have to say this reference number at the bottom... and say your file number... please everyone... contact them... they need to know how many people he has affected and since he went under multiple names... the more the merrier... The police ask all the victim to contact this number: 1-888-641-AGIR. Reference file: QUE140812-062.
